DIMENSION ENERGY CO., LLC I.R. PRICE ET AL WELL NO. 1 PRODUCTION BARGE AND STORAGE BARGE DRAFT WATER DISCHARGE PERMIT   The LDEQ, Office of Environmental Services, is accepting written comments on a draft Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) permit prepared for Dimension Energy, Co., LLC, I.R. Price et al Well No. 1 Production Barge and Storage Barge, 223 Weeks St., New Iberia, LA 70560.  The facility is located approximately 3.4 miles northeast of Boothville, Sec 18, T19S-R18E, in Plaquemines Parish.   The principal discharge from this existing source is made into Grand Bay via an effluent pipe, waters of the state classified for primary contact recreation, secondary contact recreation, propagation of fish and wildlife, and oyster propagation.  Under the SIC Code 1311, the applicant proposes to discharge deck drainage (Outfalls 001 and 002) from an existing crude oil petroleum production facility.   During the preparation of this permit, it has been determined that the discharge will have no adverse impact on the existing uses of the receiving waterbody.  As with any discharge, however, some change in existing water quality may occur.   This permit was processed as an expedited permit in accordance with LAC 33:I.Chapter 18.   Comments and requests for a public hearing or notification of the final decision can be submitted via personal delivery, U.S. mail, email, or fax. Comments and  requests for public hearings must be received by 4:30 pm CST, Tuesday, August 7, 2012.
