BOSSIER PARISH POLICE JURY / PENAL COMPLEX WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT WATER DISCHARGE PERMIT




The LDEQ, Office of Environmental Services, is accepting written comments on a  Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) permit prepared for Bossier Parish Police Jury, Penal Complex Wastewater Treatment Plant, P.O. Box 70, Benton, Louisiana 71006.  The facility is located at the intersection of Abe Martin Road and Old Plain Dealing Road in Plain Dealing, Bossier Parish.  Upon the effective date of the final permit, the LPDES permit shall replace the previously issued LPDES permit LA011623
8.

The principal discharge from this  source  made into the Red River, waters of the state classified for primary contact recreation, secondary contact recreation, propagation of fish and wildlife, agriculture, and drinking water supply.  Under the SIC  9223, the applicant proposes to discharge treated sanitary wastewater from a publicly owned treatment works serving a penal complex (minimum, medium, and maximum security prisons).

During the preparation of this permit, it has been determined that the discharge will have no adverse impact on the existing uses of the receiving waterbody.  As with any discharge, however, some change in existing water quality may occur.

GUIDRY'S CATFISH, INC WATER DISCHARGE PERMIT




The LDEQ, Office of Environmental Services, is accepting written comments on a  Louisiana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (LPDES) permit prepared for Guidry's Catfish, Inc, 1093 Henderson Hwy
Breaux Bridge, LA 70517.  The facility is located at 1093 Henderson Hwy in Breaux Bridge, St Martin Parish.   Upon the effective date of the final permit, the LPDES permit shall replace the previously issued LPDES permit.

The principal discharge from this  source  made into local drainage, thence into Coulee Nicole, thence into Bayou Portage, waters of the state classified for primary contact recreation, secondary contact recreation and propagation of fish and wildlife.  Under the SIC  2092, the applicant proposes to discharge process wastewater, sanitary wastewater, and non-contact cooling water from an existing catfish processing facility.  The facility also quick freezes and packs shrimp.

During

The principal discharge from this  source  made into the Highway 61 roadside ditch, thence to Bayou Francois, thence to Lake Maurepas, waters of the state classified for primary contact recreation, secondary contact recreation and propagation of fish and wildlife.  Under the SIC  5541, the applicant proposes to discharge wastewater resulting from the dewatering of petroleum underground storage tanks from a carbon filtration system at a retail gas station.
